About this opportunity:

Software Production System (SPS) has the ambition to provide a compelling state of the art software Production System, to give BCSS R&D and Ericsson a competitive advantage in development of Cloud Native products for 5G and 6G. SPS secures a Development Environment based on clouds, telecom networks, software pipelines, lab infra and tools. Examples of concepts/areas in focus are Platform Engineering, Golden Paths, Gen AI and IT security.

We are now looking for a Senior Expert who can lead the work with our Development Environment Architecture serving BCSS R&D, the work is done in cooperation with other parts of Ericsson R&D. We continue to evolve our environment, an important part is to meet expectations in the areas IT Security and Developer Experience.

What you will do:

• Own and evolve our Development Environment architecture. Compile development & architecture plans in the area and propose new solutions that impacts the technology strategy for the area.
• Engage with stakeholders, vendors, academia, and open forums and convey BCSS positioning within the domain.
• Keep up to date with latest technology trends in the industry and research by academia, maintain an external contact network with external companies and vendors. 
• Maintain a strong internal contact network spanning across relevant internal organizations, act as coach and mentor actively sharing knowledge within Ericsson and inspire the organization to adopt new technology and new aspects.

The skills you bring:

• MSc level in a technical field or the equivalent level of knowledge
• 10+ years - Extensive Leadership in Software development and R&D 
• Deep understanding of Cloud Native software development including continuous design, integration, deployment, and operation.
• Experience in Development Environment tools, process and methods that support efficient development organizations.
• Track record from System Management and Architecture leadership including leading teams.
• Excellent people/leadership and mentoring skills in line with Ericsson core values.
• A broad experience of the Ericsson product portfolio with a solid understanding of PDU’s and services needs to be successful.
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, speak & write English fluently.
