About this opportunity
We are seeking a driven and dynamic individual to lead the technology & evolution stream for Ericsson financial services, with a primary focus in realizing our technology vision and driving the evolution of Ericsson fintech technologies. This role is essential to shape our technology direction, overseeing its execution, and ensuring alignment with our business goals in the rapidly changing fintech landscape. The candidate we seek must have a proven track record in leading architectural evolutions and fostering a culture of innovation within the Fintech domain. As the Head of Technology & Evolution, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our company is perceived as a preferred financial services technology & services partner in the market.
What you will do
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the company & wider industry.
• Develop and execute a forward-thinking technology strategy that supports the company's objectives and adapts to fintech industry trends and regulatory
• Requirements with strong emphasis on AI technologies that can be embedded.
• Ensure that technology infrastructure, platforms, and systems are robust, compliant, and optimized for scalability and reliability.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and industry developments that can drive competitive advantage and business growth.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the architecture & innovation team, encouraging experimentation and adoption of new technologies.
• Drive patents lifecycle from creation, follow-up, defence to secure patents for the company in the Fintech domain.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to showcase our technological capabilities and thought leadership.
• Drive consultative and proactive engagements with product management, service delivery, customer success, engineering teams within Ericsson and with customers, when applicable.
• Travel to attend and drive business meetings, as and when the need arises.
You will bring
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a proven track record in fintech or financial services.
• Strong understanding of fintech trends, including Digital Wallets, Digital Banking, Payments, Remittance, Lending, Blockchain, AI, and Data Analytics.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex technology products and/or solutions to be then deployed in customer ecosystem.
• High-level understanding and passion for the fintech domain, including a high-level knowledge of industry trends and key players.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with peers, customers and partners.
• Adept in at least 2 languages if not more.
