About this opportunity:
We are now looking for a Infrastructure Engineer with focus on Network to join our dynamic team. This role is part of the SA BOS infrastructure domain, where you will support the development and maintenance of networking environments for our users. The focus of this position is to provide essential support of networking tools associated with our infrastructure environments.
What you will do:
- Offer direct support to SA BOS Technical Program Groups (TPGs) regarding IP-routing, firewall management, and general planning around networking.
- Serve as a growing expert in networking engineering, with a focus on IP routing and firewall management.
- Assist in configuring and maintaining network devices, ensuring system availability and reliability.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of our network infrastructure and tooling portfolio.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate, resolve network-related issues and provide technical support.
- Develop automation solutions and explore the use of next-generation software technologies (ML, AI)
The skills you bring:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnetting, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP).
- Basic programming skills in languages such as Python, Bash, Go, or similar for scripting and automation tasks.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, particularly Kubernetes
- Some experience with practical use of Gen AI tools
- Experience with network hardware and firewall technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
