About this opportunity:

Product Development Unit Radio (PDU Radio) drives the end-to-end research and development of Ericsson’s radio products and solutions. We are a global organization within Engineering unit Hardware (EUHW) consisting of engineers and developers collaborating across nine sites in Canada, China, and Sweden to drive Ericsson’s strategy of securing our ongoing market leadership in radio. 

We are now searching for a Radio Study Driver to join our team! 

In Radio Products Sweden, Product Systemization department, the Study Driver role will lead the work to break down high-level market and internal requirements into proposals of radio HW and SW system solutions that can be realized in the next generation of radio development projects. You will lead a multi-functional team to deliver a technical solution and cost estimates for realization of the solution in future product design projects. 

You will participate in strategic work to evolve the long-term radio portfolio solutions/ technologies and architecture. Continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work. The position is based in Kista and may require travel to other PDU Radio sites.

What you will do:

• Drive radio studies ensuring strategic technical leadership, where leadership, developing high performing, highly engaged teams and individuals are of importance. 
• Interact with interest parties and technical specialists to define the radio portfolio, solutions and product requirements from a holistic view. 
• Perform requirement breakdown to Radio level (Software and Hardware). 
• Evolve the Radio HW and SW product architecture and system-level design to meet future technical and cost requirements. 
• Drive and participate in Radio Access Network (RAN) and Ericsson Radio System (ERS) level system-related technical studies. 
• Cooperate and align with relevant parts in own and other Product development units (PDUs). 

The skills you bring:

• A MSc level in a technical field or the equivalent level of knowledge. 
• Proficiency in English, oral as well as written. 
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within System and/or HW/SW design in a related business. 
• Proven significant experience as a leader/project manager of complex technical projects and studies (e.g. Manage budget, time plan, resources, risks, global collaboration). 
• Radio requirement refinement and allocation skills (from RAN to Radio level), understanding standards.
• Self-motivation with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to turn ideas into concrete solutions.. 
• Creativity and Innovation. 
• Competence of Ericsson Radio portfolio. 

Note: Security clearance including references and relevant background screening will be conducted for final candidates.
