Capgemini has set up a data protection organisation articulated around a Group Data Protection Officer, Regional and Local Data Protection Officers. Now, Capgemini Sweden wishes to recruit a Local Data Protection Officer, DPO, for the Nordic Region. You will report to Vice President & Nordic General Counsel, based in London, with a dotted line to the Regional Data Protection Officer based in Paris.
As the Nordic DPO, your responsibility will be to secure that the business conducted within Capgemini in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland is in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
As the Nordic DPO, you will work with a wide range of data protection related issues and assignments. You will lead and have responsibility for implementing, monitoring and enforcing Capgeminis privacy and data protection compliance program in the Nordics. You will work with information security experts in relation to the development and implementation of technical protections and safeguards. You will continuously raise privacy awareness within Capgemini Nordics through training sessions as well as by informing and advising staff in order to ensure compliance. You will act as the liaison for the relevant supervisory authorities on all issues in relation to data privacy. Also, you will maintain ongoing and current knowledge of evolving data protection and privacy legislation. In addition, you will support sales teams of, review and negotiate data protection clauses of agreements with clients negotiated/entered into with their relevant entity as well as support delivery in client disputes or requests on data protection matters.
Who are you?
You have a university degree in law or equivalent experience of laws and regulations. You have thorough knowledge of data privacy regulations including in-depth knowledge of GDPR and preferably you have relevant working experience of dealing with data protection and privacy issues for Nordic / international organizations. Also, knowledge of information technology, systems and infrastructure is preferred.
You are structured with strong project management and organizational skills, and you have integrity, professional ethics and sound judgement in managing risks and enforcing Group-wide standards. You know how to communicate effectively with both the highest levels of management and decision-making individuals within the organization, as well as with other levels and build professional relationships with internal as well as external stakeholders. You have good training and presentation skills and you speak and write fluently in both English and Swedish.
