About this opportunity:

We at Ericsson Packet Core (PC) in Lindholmen are now looking for a talented DevOps Engineer for our Software Build System team. 

You will work to lead, guide, and support our experienced Design Environment teams in our Engineering Environment organization, while interfacing with our stakeholders and guarding/maintaining a stable Environment structure and strategy. 

Our Design Environment teams consist of a diverse group of developers with a broad understanding of our design environment and strategy. We work according to Agile principles with close collaboration with our Operational Product Owners.

What you will do:

In this role you will work to design, maintain and support our product development environment with a focus on both build systems and functional test.

This is an opportunity to drive the continuous improvement of our environments, tools and processes.

Your task will include development activities in our build system such as software design, build system design, integration, verification, simulations, tools design, Product Lifecycle Management support as well as product documentation. 

You will also perform advanced troubleshooting and help to develop competence in the technical domain. We organise our development teams with continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing as an integral part of the daily work.

• Proficient in Python scripting
• A command of Linux, working with high performance Linux applications 
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment

• Experience with Development, integration, deployment and orchestration technologies (such as Git/Gerrit, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes). 
• Experience with SCM tools & processes. 
• Experience with Maintaining Internet-facing production-grade applications in virtualized environments such as cloud computing platforms and services. 
• Experience with using and maintaining IDEs (such as Eclipse and VSCode). 

Meriting: 

• Domain experience in 3GPP Mobility area 
• Earlier experience of working in the Software Configuration Management Domain 
• Experience in managing Functional Test environments at scale 
• In addition to this, we value domain experience from working with tools development, Continuous Integration, build systems and Automation. 
• We believe you are familiar with standard IT security practices such as encryption, certificates and key management.
• Any experience in developing software in PDU Packet Core or understanding the development flow of PC products is also considered a merit.
