About the Opportunity

5G is already a reality, and Ericsson is the leader in bringing it to the market. There has never been a better time for you to make your mark. A large group of skilled developers are working energetically to convert 5G plans into reality. We are growing and looking for more talent. Our unit is part of Development Unit Networks and responsible for driving baseband software product development end to end by having competence and capability to take on full feature responsibility. This includes product ownership of baseband products as well as responsibility for development plans and securing maintenance of the products. Our Unit  is located mainly on different sites in Sweden, Canada, China and US.

What You Will Do 

• Develop (integrate and test) 5G and Cloud RAN baseband architecture, functionality, and features in an end-to-end as well as in a partly simulated environment
• Write inventive, high quality, clean, optimized test code for use in verification and continuous integration.
• Maintain and improve the quality of L1 and L2 part of the Baseband product by securing legacy coverage in test loops
• Perform trouble shooting and customer support
• Drive continuous improvements of products, environments, and processes
• Make sure that the right test environment is available in time, both the actual system test plant and the test environment with tools and automation frameworks.
• Analyze new requirements from new features

The Skills You Bring

• Interest in and a drive to learn software test and integration
• MSc or equivalent in relevant technical field
• 0-3 years of relevant experience
• Programming/scripting skills (Java, Python, Erlang)

Good to have:

• Multi-core processor understanding
• Basic Real time embedded systems knowledge
• Mobile communication systems understanding
