About this opportunity:

You will be part of Ericsson’s antenna research program researching, developing, and validating the latest state-of-the-art antenna systems. Concept development, antenna design, and experimental validation will be done in everything from simulations and lab experiments to end-to-end systems implemented in product like prototypes. You will be working in one of the most experienced teams within this domain in the world.

What you will do:

• Conduct research and development of novel antenna designs and technologies.
• Perform simulations and analysis using advanced software tools to evaluate antenna performance.
• Develop prototypes and conduct experimental testing to validate design concepts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate antenna solutions into larger systems.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in antenna design and wireless communication.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and progress to stakeholders.
• Write invention disclosures and submit patent application.
• Collaborate with suppliers in antenna technology ecosystem and academic research institutes in joint research projects.
• Contribute and collaborate with product organizations to get the proven concepts into the main product stream.

The skills you bring: 

• A PhD in in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• A strong foundation in electromagnetic theory and antenna technology
• Fluent use of simulation tools such as CST Studio Suit and HFSS
• Deep understanding of numerical techniques for solving Maxwell’s equation (computational electromagnetics)
• Practical experience from design, manufacturing and validation of antenna array prototypes and/or products
• A proven track record (scientific publications and patents) in antenna array research
