Sustainability Controller

Boliden produces metal that make modern society work. Our operations are characterized by concern for people, the environment and society. Boliden's sustainability work is based on our own norms and values as well as on international guidelines and targets such as UN's Global Compact and Goals. Internal and external stakeholder dialogues are continuously ongoing to ensure that different demands and expectations are taken into account. Sustainability within Boliden means to evaluate environmental impacts, take social considerations and secure lasting results.

Boliden Group has operations in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Ireland. We are now looking for a Sustainability controller to the Group Sustainability team based in Stockholm, Sweden.


The Sustainability Controller has an overall goal to manage the daily activities to ensure clarity on the Sustainability reporting process and to follow up on Sustainability performance across the business. The Sustainability Controller will work closely with the Sustainability organization on Group and Business Area level and will also liaise with multiple Group functions to assess and help implement the sustainability strategy.

The Sustainability Controller works primarily with the Sustainability reporting process by evaluating, quality controlling and consolidating the Group sustainability data. The Sustainability Controller presents the Group sustainability data internally within Boliden in monthly, quarterly and annual reports (Global Reporting Initiative) as well as to external stakeholders and analytics in questionnaires such as Carbon disclosure project (CDP), RobecoSAM (Dow Jones Sustainability Index), the FTSE4 Good Ethical Index and ICA (International Copper Association, Ltd).

Since Boliden operates in different locations, travel will occur.

Education and qualifications

- Academic degree and/or several years of relevant work experience within the area

- Understanding, speaking, writing and presenting in English. 
- Knowledge in the Swedish and Finnish language is a strong merit.

Professional Skills
- Experience with data visualization and data analysis. 
- Excellent understanding of general sustainability concepts, including social and environmental standards (e.g. UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, Carbon Disclosure Project, Global Reporting Initiative, UN Global Compact, etc.). 
- Well organized and comfortable interfacing with all levels of management and stakeholders.

Experience from similar position in other industries is considered a merit.
