About the role:

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to fill the role of Exploration Director. This position will play a fundamental role in adding value to our mines by discovering and developing mineral resources in a sustainable way. This dual-focused role involves delivering mineral reserves and resources at out existing mines and conducting exploration to identify new mineral resource development projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic near mine exploration.
• Drive greenfield exploration to discover new mineral deposits.
• Lead managers within the Exploration Geophysics, Geodata and Exploration R&D departments to support exploration projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, landowners and authorities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
• Be a part of the management team for Business Area Mines, reporting to the President for Business Area Mines.

Candidate profile:

• Relevant academic education in Economic Geology, Geophysics, Earth Sciences, Mining Engineering or similar fields.
• Background in exploration, with experience in managerial positions.
• A visionary and creative leader who can positively challenge and inspire teams.
• Driven to discover new deposits, business-oriented and results-focused.
• Strategic vision, excellent communication skills and high social competence.
