Customer Experience (CX) in RAN Software & Compute Platforms Engineering (RCE), part of BNEW, drives a best-in-class customer experience by ensuring proper product introduction, customer solutions, services, support, frameworks, and feedback, effectively bringing together engagement, quality, and release.
At Open RAN Solutions within RCE CX, we expand the reach of Cloud RAN by providing flexible business solutions that embrace the cloud ecosystem and are profitable for Ericsson. We develop service-ready solutions, including key metrics for dimensioning, guidelines for integrating selected cloud infrastructure and hardware, and blueprints for supported configurations (Verified, Validated, and Enterprise). We offer customers supplementary documentation to deploy and manage our solutions, and we drive and validate quality targets to ensure the high-quality release of Open RAN solutions within the cloud space.
Our Solution Validation unit is looking for a seasoned Solution Architect to join our team. If you are passionate about designing robust and scalable RAN solutions and enjoy working in a multi-site collaborative environment, we want to hear from you.
What you will do:
• Provide technical leadership to the team involved in the design, integration, and validation of Ericsson Cloud RAN Pre-integrated Solutions
• Collaborate closely with CR gNB product teams, including PMs, Solution Architects, Technical Coordinators, and Test Managers, to ensure timely delivery
• Engage with project stakeholders to understand their needs and translate these into technical specifications and solutions
• Hands-on support for test environments to ensure successful validation.
• Lead system studies (including PoCs) to enhance our solution offerings and propose relevant improvements in the Product and Solution areas
• Collaborate with Test teams to ensure that product and solutions meet the required standards and performance benchmarks
• Proactively identify new areas for automation to boost efficiency and inspire innovation.
• Proven ability to efficiently manage and prioritize tasks across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Stay updated on emerging technologies driving telecom innovation
• Offer coaching and mentoring to enhance team expertise and competence
The skills you bring:
• A Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar technical role, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
• Hands-on Solution designing, integration, validation, automation, scripting and troubleshooting experience.
• Very good knowledge and experience in 4G/5G RAN and Core, SMO, Ericsson Radio System products and services
• Good knowledge of Telco 3GPP Standards, Protocols, and Procedures.
• Well versed with networking concept (e.g.: DNS, IPV4/V6, NAT, VLAN)
• Experience with containerization, virtualization, and service orchestration, including commercial Kubernetes systems like OpenShift, CNIS, or WRCP, is desirable.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to build a sense of trust and that crafts a comfortable and effective workplace
• High degree of flexibility to work in a changing environment.
• Market insight, up to date with new developments in related technologies and products
