About The Opportunity
Are you excited about working with leading edge ASIC technologies? Do you want to be a key player in defining next generation Radio networks? Here is an opportunity to join the team responsible for developing ASICs for Ericsson Radio products under Product Engineering Unit Silicon. We are looking for an experienced ASIC architect that will drive the over-all power architecture and associated development activities for the complete lifespan of an ASIC.
As a member of our Silicon Systems team in Lund, you'll bring in your technical experience in end-to-end ASIC development as well as key leadership skills to drive cross-functional teams across Ericsson design centers. In this role, you'll be the pivot around whom the whole systemization for an ASIC power and thermal management is going to evolve - starting from early-phase studies for benchmarking and selecting the right technologies for upcoming ASICs, bringing in innovations in low power designs and power estimation strategies, and confirming the power targets in post-silicon validation and test platforms. The role requires a team player who can work independently, drive team alignment, and build connections across internal teams and external suppliers
What will you do:
• Participate and represent ASIC design community in studies with Ericsson research and Product platform teams to improve energy efficiency for next-generation products
• Work with Product systems and thermal design team to define ASIC component-level power budgets and targets for various use cases
• Analysis and selection of silicon technology nodes and 3rd party IPs for next generation ASICs
• Own ASIC level power modelling and devise strategies for predictive power estimation with cross-functional design team
• Plan and drive design, verification and physical design work for pre-silicon power estimations
• Work with Validation, Test and Product teams for post-silicon power correlation with an aim to meet defined targets and successfully productize the ASIC
• Track in-field data from product deployment to understand existing issues and provide resolutions for current and future ASICs
• Collaborate with internal CAD teams to evaluate EDA tools and flows for right solutions in power and thermal design area. Keep and a good connect and drive discussions with external EDA and IP suppliers.
• Act as an leader and driver for innovations and process improvements for ASIC power optimization activities in Ericsson
Skills you bring :
• Master of Science, Ph.D. or similar degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics or equivalent education
